UN Expert Visits Solely to Assess Impact of Sanctions
TEHRAN – A top Iranian human rights official says a UN rapporteur’s visit to Iran is only aimed at gathering information on the impact of sanctions in order to hold countries imposing such unilateral measures to account.
UN Special Rapporteur Alena Douhan began her 11-day visit to Iran Saturday. Iran’s Kazem Gharibabadi said her mission does not involve investigating matters apart from sanctions imposed unilaterally on Iran.
